Brofoz - Minnie - Original Artwork
Medium: Oil Pastel & Acrylic on paper
Size: 210mm x 297mm
Year: 2025
Artwork Details:
Created in 2025, Minnie showcases Brofoz’s mastery of combining oil pastel and acrylic on paper. Its 210mm x 297mm format emphasizes layered textures, vivid colour contrasts, and expressive lines. This original artwork is perfect for collectors seeking a one-of-a-kind piece that embodies bold contemporary artistry.
About the Artist:
London-based artist Brofoz (born Brooke Foster, Boise, Idaho) explores the intersection of individuality and urban life through bold, stylized oil portraiture. After moving from the wide-open landscapes of Idaho to the dense and diverse streets of London, she became fascinated by the unknown stories behind unfamiliar faces. Her work captures that curiosity — aiming to use illustration as a way to process her new environments. Are they lonely? Are they happy? Where are they going? Where have they come from? In this series, Brofoz uses her commute into Camden as her source of inspiration, re-imagining the lives of daily faces through oil pastel and verbal storytelling.
Notes:
Each piece is hand-signed by the artist and framed in a black smooth box frame with a white mount. This piece is not sold separately; the price reflects both the artwork and the frame. Please contact daisy@camdenopenairgallery.com for enquiries.
How to Care for Your Piece:
Each piece comes framed to protect the artwork, as oil pastel never fully sets. Please minimise touching the surface and handle the artwork by its edges if you need to remove it from the frame. If you do remove the artwork, ensure that the face is placed upright and stored flat, avoiding stacking heavy items on top. Framing not only protects from smudging but also from dirt and fingerprints.
