About the Artist

Kath Leone is a London-based artist and textile designer, originally from Cape Town, South Africa. Her work draws inspiration from natural environments, including kelp forests, woodlands, and intricate botanical forms.

Primarily a screen printer, Leone integrates subtle watercolour washes to create depth and a storybook-like quality. Living with synaesthesia, she perceives colour, texture, and shape in response to sounds and words. This condition informs her layered, glowing compositions, where translucent inks produce luminous, multi-dimensional artworks with intricate detail and ethereal qualities.
